In the presence of District Collector Sameeran, the team inspected various locations including Ukkadam sewage treatment plant, Aavin Company at Pachapalayam Siruvani Road and the new substation.
Coimbatore: In the presence of District Collector G.S. Sameeran, the members of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Public Enterprises Committee chairman Raja inspected Hope college technology park, Sowripalayam Pirivu Advaith spinning mill, Ukkadam sewage treatment plant, Pollachi Road SIDCO, Tamil Nadu Textile Corporation, Kinathukadavu, Kondampatti, windmill station.
They also inspected Aavin company and new substation on Siruvani road in Pachapalayam.
An inspection was also carried out at the Sungam Workshop of The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation.
Subsequently, the team inspected the sanitisation of buses at the depot. They examined whether it was going for the use of the public as hygiene.
Speaking to reporters later, Raja, chairman of the Public Enterprises Committee, said: He said the government is running free buses for women like never before anywhere else in India.
The intention of the government was to make public use the government buses. Some people were trying to tarnish the government's image in the free buses scheme for women.”
