“TECHFEST’17” Inter-Collegiate technical fest at Sankara College of Science and Commerce



The Department of Information Technology of Sankara College of Science and Commerce had organised “TECHFEST’17” an inter-collegiate technical fest on 7th February 2017 at the college campus.



This event was organised with an aim to find the best technocrats among the students from various colleges and encourage them through reward to fuel their dreams. As part of the festival, Paper Presentation, Code Jam, Brain storming and Gaming sessions were conducted. Close to 150 students from 15 colleges took part in the  “TECHFEST’17”.



Teams which cleared the preliminary rounds participated in the final rounds of the respective events. The winners were presented with cash prizes.

Vishnu Mohan & Alagammai of SNR Sons College were the winners in the paper presentation event. 

Christina & Sreenidhi of Sri Krishna Arts and Science College were the runners.  

Sivaraj of Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya was the winner of code jam competition and Karthikeyan from Pioneer College was the runner.

Santhosh & Harish and Vidyavarshni & Sowparnika from Sri Krishna Arts and Science College were the winners and runners respectively in the brain storming session.

In the gaming event Balachandran of Pioneer College emerged as winner and Sibin of Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidhyalaya stood second.

The Valedictory Function was presided by Dr.H.Balakrishnan, Principal of Sankara College of Science and Commerce. Ms.Nithya RamachandranDeputy Joint Secretary of Sankara Educational Institutions distributed cash prizes to the winners. Prof.R.Pradheepa, Head, Dept of Information Technology along with staff and students of other departments were present during the event.
