Man's body wrapped in plastic found in a crematorium near Ooty

Police are investigating an incident in which the body of an unidentified person, which was wrapped in a plastic cover and dumped at the Emerald area crematorium near Ooty.



Nilgiris: Police are investigating an incident in which the body of an unidentified person, which was wrapped in a plastic cover and dumped at the Emerald area crematorium near Ooty

The crematorium is spread over an area of about 10 acres at Emerald near Ooty in the Nilgiris district. It is used by the people of Emerald, Surendranagar, Periyar Nagar, Nehru Kandy, Nehru Nagar and Lawrence.



In the meanwhile, police found body of unidentified person wrapped in a plastic cover. The murder came to light when workers were engaged in removing the bushes around the Emerald crematorium area.

Police recovered the body and sent it to the Ooty Government Hospital. The incident has created a stir among the public in the area..

The police are investigating whether the 60 year old person's body was murdered and dumped by unidentified persons.
