Elder brother arrested for stabbing to death younger brother near Kinathukadavu

Police arrested an elder brother who stabbed his younger brother to death following a quarrel over the business loss.


Coimbatore: Sangarammal hails from Vadapudur near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore district. His sons, Mahalingam and Aarusamy, run a coconut business in the same area.

When the two brothers incurred losses in the business, they developed enmity with each other.

In the meanwhile, an argument broke out between the two brothers near the Vadapudur bus stop last night. Younger brother Aarusamy allegedly beat up his elder brother Mahalingam.

Enraged at this, Mahalingam took out a knife and stabbed Aarusamy due to which he died on the spot.

Kinathukadavu police recovered Aarusamy's body and sent it to Pollachi government hospital for post-mortem.

Mahalingam, who stabbed his younger brother to death, was arrested and produced in court and remanded in custody.
