Collector informs farmers that state government will distribute cattle feed to farmers soon


Coimbatore District Collector, T N Hariharan today inspected the drought hit areas in Chettipalayam which comes under Madukkarai division. He inspected the Coconut farms and Cholam (Sorgham) fields in the area.



When speaking to the farmers District Collector said, “Farmers should make sure that their respective name is included in the list of farmers who are impacted by drought. Change in name or any other corrections should be made immediately. It will not be possible to include names or make any corrections once the fund is allocated.” In this regard, Collector also requested the farmers all over the District to ensure that their name is on the list.

“The state government is taking steps to provide cattle feed and hay to all the farmers. Soon, the distribution will begin' assured the Collector.

As a part of this inspection, the District Collector visited the agricultural lands in Oraattukuppai, Arasampalayam in Kinathukdavu circle, Paanapatti, and Akkanayakanpalayam villages and took a closer look at the drought hit regions.

Pollachi Sub-Collector (In-charge) Suresh, Agricultural Department Officials, Revenue Department Officials were present along with the Collector during the inspection.
