Samathuva Pongal for Religious Harmony held in Coimbatore - Hindus Muslims Christians celebrate together

People of all religions not only participated in the Samathuva Pongal festival for communal harmony held in Coimbatore on behalf of the Palsamaya Nalluravu Iyakkam.



Coimbatore: On the occasion of Pongal, the Festival of Tamils, Samathuva Pongal was celebrated in Coimbatore to promote communal harmony.



Celebrated on behalf of the Palsamaya Nalluravu Iyakkam, the Pongal festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm by hindus, Muslims and Christians.

Haji Mohammed Rafi, the leader of the Palsamaya Nalluravu Iyakkam, organized the pongal celebrations at perur adina complex in Coimbatore. Representatives of Hindus, Muslims and Christians and coimbatore city police commissioner Balakrishnan were among those present.



On this Pongal festival, three peace doves were flown to pray for world peace and for equality and brotherhood to flourish.



Later, awards were presented to the best social workers and students who excelled in sports competitions.



Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan, who was the chief guest on the occasion, presented prizes to the students and social workers who participated in the Pongal games.

Subsequently, scholarships were distributed to poor and needy family school and college students on behalf of the Palsamaya Nalluravu Iyakkam.



The event, which was held at the Perur Adina Premises, was attended by people from all walks of life across religions to showcase the unity of India.

Pongal, a Tamil festival, is a festival that transcends religion and language. Accordingly, this religious harmony samathuva Pongal has been celebrated. The organisers of the festival also said that this initiative is very necessary in today's time.
