Congress Party cadres stage protest demanding ban of online games, demand the call back of TN Governor

Congress party cadres staged a protest in the city against the TN Governor R.N. Ravi for withholding a bill banning online rummy in Tamil Nadu.


Coimbatore: There has been strong opposition to the online rummy game in Tamil Nadu, as it has become addictive among youth and suicides have been reported due to this.

Various political parties and organizations from Tamil Nadu have been staging protests and protests demanding a ban on the game by the government.

Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi is sitting on a bill passed in Tamil Nadu Assembly and has not given his assent.



Protests continue to be held across the state condemning the Governor's move and demanding that the Central government take back the governor.

Coimbatore District Congress Committee, which staged the protest was led by Coimbatore district president VMC Manoharan.



More than 50 Congress workers took part. They raised slogans demanding that Governor R N Ravi immediately sign the bill.
