Coimbatore: A model roundabout is being set up at the Brookfields Road junction in Coimbatore as a pilot project to enable the public to cross the road quickly without waiting for the road signal.
In an attempt to avoid traffic congestion at the Brookfield Road junction in Coimbatore and to reduce the waiting time for people at the signal, a pilot project is set up on behalf of the Coimbatore City Police Traffic Division
Divisional Engineer Manuneeti and other officials of the department worked for the setup of the roundabout.

The trial run for the same has been going on since 4 pm yesterday.
The Traffic police have requested the motorists going to Brookfields via East Thiruvenkatasamy Road to turn left and proceed to Brookfields Road via Chinthamani roundabout.
The road from East Thiruvenkatasamy Road to Brookfield Road via Kamarajapuram has also been blocked.

The motorists are requested to travel according to the changes that have been made there.
The City traffic police have requested the public to extend all the support to the new traffic arrangements.
