JCB operator robbed of his money at knife point at a TASMAC outlet near Selvapuram

Three persons had been arrested for robbing money from a JCB operator at knife point near a TASMAC liquor shop in Selvapuram.


Coimbatore: Police arrested a trio, who attacked a JCB operator near a TASMAC outlet at Perur Road for not giving them money for liquor drinking.

Arun Kumar (42), a resident of LIC Colony in Selvapuram, is a JCB operator, he had gone to a TASMAC shop on Perur Road yesterday to have a drink.

Janshaw, a resident of the same locality, had come with two of his friends. It is learnt that Johnson had demanded money from Arun Kumar to drink alcohol.

However, when Arun Kumar refused the two others who came with him, Ismail (28) and Muzammil (32), abused him and thrashed him severely.

Janshaw, who took out a knife, threatened Arun Kumar and took money from him.

Based on a complaint lodged by Arun Kumar, Selvapuram Police arrested Janshaw (37), Ismail (28) and Muzammil (32). They were produced in court and remanded in custody.
