Superstar Rajnikanth praises wife Latha for changing him into a disciplined and healthy person

“People who smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol and eat non-vegetarian food have never lived beyond the age of 60. It was my wife Latha who changed me with love from such bad habits. He has made me a disciplined person” said Super star Rajnikanth.



Chennai: "It was my wife Latha, who changed my life and is the sole reason for me keeping in good health" said super star Rajinikanth at a function in Chennai.

Super star Rajnikanth praised his wife for keeping in good health despite his age. “When I was a conductor, I used to drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes and eat meat twice a day. I used to sympathize with vegetarians then” he said.



Rajinikanth, who watched YG Mahendran's play "Charukesi" at Vani Mahal in Thyagaraya Nagar, said that the play will be hit if made into a film.

Reminiscing about his past the superstar actos said "About 47 years ago, I had gone to see the play 'Rahasyam Parama Rahasyam' in Mylapore, Chennai, and I was not allowed to enter the play even after waiting for half an hour”.



“But we don't know where time will take someone to heights So if I'm the chief guest at the 50th ceremony, it's all a divine play of the times”.

Rajnikanth added that actors like Jayalalitha, Nagesh, Cho and Visu are from the YGP theatre group. They are a safe and dignified theatre group. One can't imagine how happy the late Sivaji Ganesan would have been if he had watched this play now.

The actor also added that “I don't know how to thank YG Mahendran. It was YGM who introduced me to my wife Latha”.

“My wife is the reason I am healthy today. I don't know how many packets of cigarettes I smoked when I was the conductor. In the morning, I eat Paya, Appam and chicken 65” Rajnikanth said and added “People who smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol and eat non-vegetarian food have never lived beyond the age of 60. It was Latha who changed me with love from such bad habits. She has made me a disciplined person”.
