Responding to a question on the sensational documentary released by the BBC, Jawahirullah said 'the BBC had earlier exposed the 2002 Muslim pogrom in Gujarat when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat'.
Coimbatore: M.H. Jawahirulla, President of Manithaneya Makkal Katchi and Papanasam MLA has expressed confidence that E V K S Elangovan, who is contesting in Erode East by-poll on a Congress ticket, will win by a huge margin.
A special seminar was organised by the Samuga Needhi Maanavar Iyakkam in the city, in which Jawahirullah participated and delivered the keynote address.
Later speaking to reporters, he said the DMK government was performing on all fronts. . It is effectively implementing various welfare schemes and all kinds of basic amenities required for the public. DMK president M K Stalin is governing the state well.
While commenting on the poll prospects of E.V.K.S Elangovan said he will win the Erode East assembly constituency by a huge margin in the by poll. While the DMK is moving forward, the AIADMK has not been able to declare a candidate till date, he said.

“Muslims living in Britain had earlier complained to the British government that their relatives were being killed. Subsequently, the British government ordered an inquiry. It was only then that the BBC released the evidence” he said.
“In this context, Vajpayee, who was the prime minister at the time, had then told Modi that the latter should follow “Raj dharma”, but Modi failed to do so” Jawahirulla noted.
"We have been consistently demanding the release of those who have been involved in various crimes, including criminal cases, and languishing in jails for more than 20 years. We have also appointed a committee for this and have given that report. We expect everyone to be released soon”
“There will be a change of government at the Centre in the upcoming 2024 parliamentary elections and a multiparty government will be formed” Jawahirulla noted.
