District Collector T.N. Hariharan in a press release has stated that, the Chief Election Commission of Tamil Nadu has made all necessary arrangements to issue new voter identity card through the e-seva centres in Tamil Nadu.
An SMS will be sent with an identification number to the applicants, using that SMS applicants can collect their voter id cards from the nearest e-seva centre.
'Those who have applied for voter ID without mentioning their mobile numbers in the application can dial 1950 and register your mobile number, so that identification number could be initiated for their applications as well'. District Collector said. The public can also obtain their voter ID card by providing a proof of identity from e-seva centres, free of cost.
