Police have arrested four persons involved in the sale of narcotic drugs and seized 25 tablets of Nitravet, 25 tablets of Tidal, and 100 other varieties of narcotic tablets. Three mobile phones were also seized from their possession.
Coimbatore: Police Commissioner K Balakrishnan has issued an order to curb the circulation of drugs in the city and its suburbs, based on which, special teams were formed and vigilance upgraded.
In this situation, a special squad consisting of Inspector Latha and Special Sub-Inspector Shanmugam of the Bazaar Police Station was patrolling the Pullukadu area of Ukkadam in Coimbatore.
On surveillance by the police, four suspects were caught. During their interrogation, it was established that the four were selling narcotic drugs and pills.

Four drug peddlers including Mohammad Tariq, Nawaz, Almanar and Karthikeyan, were arrested by the Bazar police.
The police seized the contraband from them including 25 tablets of Nitravet, 25 tablets of Tidal, and 100 other narcotic tablets of various brands
Later the arrested were remanded in custody.
