Applications invited for District-level ‘Best Transgender Award’ 2023

District Collector Kranthikumar Pati invited applications for the best transgender award to be presented by the District administration on Transgender Day on April 15.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Collector Kranthikumar Pati has welcomed proposals for the Model Transgender Award 2023.

The Model Transgender Award will be presented to one of the best performers among transgenders in 2023 on April 15, which is observed as Transgender Day.

According to the District Collector, the award includes a cash component of 1,00,000 lakh.

The eligibility criteria include that the transgender should have come up in life against all the odds being faced in society without getting any assistance from the government.

Also, the transgender should have helped a minimum of five transgenders change their life.

There shouldn’t be a member of the Transgender Welfare Board.

Transgender applying for the above award could do so in website www.awards.tn.gov.in.

It has been advised to approach the District Social Welfare Office functioning in the District Collectorate premises and submit the proposals for the award along with the necessary documents February 28 by 5.00 pm.
