The Collectorate staff pledged to eliminate the bonded labour system completely and to make Tamil Nadu a 'bonded labour free' state. The officials were led by the Coimbatore District Collector, Kranthi Kumar Pati.
Coimbatore: To mark 'Bonded Labour System Abolition Day' on February 9, the Coimbatore District Collector presided over the oath-taking by Collectorate officials in Coimbatore.
The pledge was taken at all Government offices to mark the day.

An awareness pledge was adopted at the Collectorate in Coimbatore under the leadership of District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi kumar Pati launched an awareness signature campaign at the collectorate premises.

Later, awareness cultural programmes were conducted.

Coimbatore District Revenue Officer Leela Alex, District Collector's Personal Assistant Kokila, Labour Assistant Commissioner Gayathri and other Government officials were present on the occasion.
