Coimbatore: In view of the ATM burglary in Tiruvannamalai in which burglars broke open four ATM machines and looted 75 lahks, police have intensified vigil in Karumathampatti, Kaniyur toll plazas and Walayar area in Coimbatore.
Similarly, on the orders of Tamil Nadu DGP Sylendra Babu, surveillance has also been intensified along the Andhra Pradesh and Kerala borders.
Vehicle checking has been intensified as the burglars are likely to flee to neighbouring states.
