Speaking to reporters near Thottipalayam in Coimbatore, Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi general secretary Easwaran said, "What has BJP leader Annamalai done constructively for Tamil Nadu so far?

Coimbatore: Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi (KMDK) general secretary Easwaran has said that the BJP has no intention of taking Tamil Nadu on the path of development.

Easwaran, general secretary of Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi and MLA, was speaking to reporters near Thottipalayam pirivu in Coimbatore.

Salem - Cochin road is a 6-lane road up to Neelambur, then a 2-lane road up to Madukkarai and then again a 6-lane road. This too should have been a six-lane road. This leads to traffic jams.

A flyover is needed at pollachi road junction. The central government should immediately convert Neelambur to Madukkarai into a six-lane road. On February 26, we will go on a padayatra from Madukkarai to Neelambur under my leadership. I hope i can put a pressure on it.

We have been continuously making requests in this regard through Namakkal MP. This 6-lane road project should be started at the earliest. We took out a walkathon demanding that the Salem-Ulundurpet road be converted into a 4-lane road. Work is going on for a 4-lane road there now.

We are going to walk here with the same confidence. I don't think the problem of land acquisition is in Coimbatore. It will be a useful road for the people of the two states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

E V K S Elangovan will win the Erode by-election. We will continue to work for the victory of the alliance candidate. There are no people who are not aware of the increase in milk prices. The rise in prices is due to pressure from the central government.

This does not mean that the vote share will decrease. The problem of the produce continues to persist. Just as ethanol is extracted from sugarcane, plans are being made to try to extract ethanol from tapioca.

Action is being taken to pay compensation amount as soon as possible to those who have given land for the construction of a high power tower. BJP state president Annamalai, who will not even go to court on any issue, will speak to the press and leave. What has Annamalai done constructively for Tamil Nadu?

AIADMK started the election work late. As far as the Kongu soil is concerned, they give importance to friendship. So other candidates may not be well-received because they are well-versed.

It should be understood that if people are not welcomed there is a decrease in the vote. The central government is giving Rs 20,000 crore to clean the River Ganga. Similarly, it should be given to Noyyal and Cauvery.

We are also going to invite various organisations for the walk that we are going to conduct. We condemn the attack on Tamil Nadu students in Delhi. Delhi Police should take immediate action.

Replying to a question on Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan's remarks, he said, People's support depends on the functioning of each movement. The BJP has no intention of taking Tamil Nadu on the path of development. Then how will the people of Tamil Nadu understand?
