SP takes part in POCSO Act Awareness programme held at Ganga Nursing College

The provisions and the key elements of this act were briefed to the students to inculcate social awareness in them and to prevent crimes against children.


Coimbatore: As part of the Student Development Program, an awareness program was held at Ganga Nursing College (Ganga Institute of Health Sciences) in Thudiyalur.



Superintendent of Police V. Badri Narayanan took part as the guest and highlighted the provisions of the POCSO Act to college students.



The provisions and the key elements of this act were briefed to the students to inculcate social awareness in them and to prevent crimes against children.

He cautioned the students on the use of social networking sites by distinguishing the pros and cons of it.



"Take only the pros and beware of the cons and take the right path," the SP noted.



A total of more than 600 students and teachers participated in this program.
