Coimbatore: “Young India” organization has distributed user-friendly and compact dustbins to be used in police vehicles of various police stations across the city.
Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan inaugurated the distribution event.
“Young India”, an NGO, has joined hands with the government to create awareness by doing various social services all these years.
Accordingly, in the first phase, the Coimbatore City Police department and the public have been provided with compact dustbins for use in four-wheelers.
The initiative has been initiated by Young India to create awareness about not throwing litter on roads while travelling.

Speaking on the occasion, City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan said, "This initiative of Young India is a welcome measure. Let me thank Young India for creating awareness about the safe disposal of litter and garbage”.
