Perur Aadheenam presents ‘Sevai Thilagam’ Award to City Social activist Muhammed Rafi for spreading religious harmony

Coimbatore: The Perur Aadhinam presented the “Sevai Thilagam” Award to Muhammed Rafi, the State President of the Tamil Nadu Multi-Religious Harmony Movement, in recognition of his fieldwork in spreading communal harmony.

Mohammed Rafi is a resident of Saibaba Colony and he is the state president of the Tamil Nadu Multi-Religious Harmony Movement.



Hehas been engaged in spreading religious harmony among various sections of society. In particular, he celebrates Pongal, Christmas and Deepavali festivals with multi-religious people and scholars, irrespective of their faith.

Apart from this, he is engaged in also providing welfare assistance to many needy persons.

Similarly, he has been conducting various religious harmony programmes and seminars across Tamil Nadu.



Apart from this, Mohamed Rafi has been producing short films on the evils of drugs and creating awareness among college students.

During the Covid-19 period, he helped by feeding the migrant labourers and the poor hailing northern states who were starving without food and he also spared the savings money to help the helpless.

The incident had attracted attention at the Tamil Nadu level then.
