G V G Udumalai Panchayat Union Committee President Mahalakshmi Murugan and Bharathiar Centenary Women's School Headmaster Vijaya presided over the function held under the expansion plan of the Tamil Department Self-Financing Unit of Visalakshi Women's College. The girls from the self-financing wing of the Tamil Department of the college took up the task of sowing seeds of vegetables including okra, bean, bagel, moringa, coriander, spinach, tomatoes, flax etc. in the school premises.
