Women employees of Valparai Municipality celebrate International Women's Day with great enthusiasm

To mark International Women's Day on Wednesday, March 8, members of the City Council and women employees of the Municipality, led by the City Council President Azhagu Sundaravalli celebrated by cutting a cake and distributing sweets.


Coimbatore: A group of women led by the Valparai Municipal Council President, Azhagu Sundaravalli celebrated International Women's Day on Wednesday, March 8, by cutting a cake and distributing sweets.



Women in various places across Valparai participated in the Women's Day celebrations. Members of the City Council, sanitation workers, rural development workers and women of NGOs gathered together to celebrate Women's Day at the Municipal premises.



'Kolam' competition was conducted for women and prizes were distributed to winners. Following this, City Council President, Azhagu Sundaravalli cut a cake to mark the occasion of Women's Day and distributed sweets.

The Mayor, Ward members and women from Rural Development sections also celebrated Women's Day with enthusiasm.
