Direct flight services to North Goa from Coimbatore Air Port introduced

According to City Airport authorities, the flights will be operated to North Goa four days a week, namely, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.



Coimbatore: The City Airport is all set to begin new flight services directly to North Goa, a major tourist destination in the country.

According to authorities, the flights will be operated to North Goa four days a week, namely, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The Second International Airport in Goa was recently opened in North Goa. The airport was set up at Mopa in North Goa at an estimated cost of Rs 2,870 crore.

Even as the new airport has become operational a large number of tourists from various states of India and abroad choose North Goa as a tourist destination.

Accordingly, the flight will depart from Coimbatore at 1.10 pm on Mondays and reach at 2.30 pm. It will depart at 6.40 pm on Wednesdays and reach at 8 pm.

Similarly, on Fridays, it will depart at 1.10 pm and reach at 2.30 pm. It will also depart at 1.10 pm on Sundays and reach the destination at 2.30 pm.

The newly launched flight service is expected to be well received by tourists and air passengers. 

Flight services to Goa have been disrupted during the pandemic and also post pandemic due to airport maintenance works.
