Coimbatore: Commissioner of Police Balakrishnan ordered to place 100 Water Bowls in all Police Stations in the city to make all Community Animals and Birds quench their thirst during the ongoing Summer months.

Water Bowl Challenge 2023 kick-started in Chennai, on 11th March and it is being extended to Coimbatore and other major Cities such as Salem, Erode, Tirupur in Partnership and with The Nature Conservancy.
Even as community animals do not have access to fresh drinking water during summer and hence the Water Bowls from PFCI play a big role in keeping the Animals Hydrated during the Summer season.
PFCI has been organising Water Bowl Challenge since 2014 and kept more than 1500 Bowls in 2021.
Another 2000 Bowls was distributed in 2022. This year, 2023, a target of 4000 Bowls is set to be given to animals to beat the heat.
