Coimbatore: On Thursday an awareness vehicle rally under the Ennum Ezhuthum Scheme of the Ministry of Education was flagged from TLC School Coimbatore.
According to a recently conducted study, it was revealed that the majority of the student fraternity lost their learning ability during the pandemic, due to a lack of access to classroom circumstances and the non-operation of schools.
To address this specific problem, the 'Ennum Ezhuthum Scheme' was operational in the current academic year intending to provide basic mathematics, introduction to writing, reading and writing training to students whose learning abilities are affected. It aims to ensure that the students up to class 3 meet the minimum learning achievement.
In this situation, an awareness vehicle rally is planned to be held across Tamil Nadu regarding this project. A vehicle was brought to create awareness in the districts of Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tirupur and Erode under Coimbatore and awareness started.
The scheme was officially inaugurated by the Chief Education Officer of Coimbatore District Boopathy.

This awareness vehicle was taken across various streets of the district to attract public attention and conveyed the significance of learning through artistic performances.
Followed by this the vehicle is said to travel across three other neighbouring districts Nilgiris, Tirupur and Erode from 17- 19 March.

It specifically targets parents to encourage their children to acquire a formal education and we aim to reduce the dropout rate which has recently increased due to the pandemic. To be more precise of its purpose, the vehicle will be displayed in the schools on the 20th and 21st for the students and parents to visit."
