District Collector flags off 'World Forest Day 2023' Awareness rally in the city

Students carried placards and banners with slogans creating awareness on the importance of conservation of forests and forest wealth.



Coimbatore: District collector Kranthi Kumar Pati flagged off an “World Forest Day 2023” awareness rally, themed 'Protect Forest for Better Future' from the Government Arts College premises.

World Forest Day is being celebrated today, and TN Forest department is conducting awareness programmes at various places in the state.



Coimbatore district Forest department and the Government college administration jointly organized the rally, in which more than 100 students participated.



They carried placards and banners with slogans creating awareness on the importance of conservation of forests and forest wealth.



Government Arts College Principal Ulagi, Coimbatore District Forest Officer Ashok Kumar and others took part.



Earlier, District Forest Officer and the Principal of the College planted saplings in the college campus on the occasion of World Forest Day.
