Tamil Nadu Budget 2023 Will revolutionise state industries - SIEMA

The Tamil Nadu Budget-2023 is aimed at revolutionising the state industries and empowering its employees. A statement issued by the South Indian Engineering Manufacturers' Association said it will create an environment conducive to growth and progress.



Coimbatore: The South Indian Engineering Manufacturers' Association has issued a statement welcoming the Tamil Nadu budget.

In a statement on behalf of the South Indian Engineering Manufacturers' Association, the Tamil Nadu Budget-2023 is aimed at revolutionising the state industries. It will create an enabling environment for improving, developing, and improving its employees.

These initiatives will bring Tamil Nadu to the forefront of economic development and innovation. It will push the state towards the chief minister's dream of a "1 trillion dollar economy".

The budget's emphasis has been on key sectors such as transport, electrical infrastructure, health and rural development. this is a clear indication of the government's commitment to the welfare of the people and the development of industries.

Special schemes for Coimbatore in the budget:

A sum of Rs 1,509 crore has been allocated for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in this budget.

Rs 7,7,000 crore has been allocated for the development of a mega power project. It is expected to be a significant change in the state's power infrastructure. It will generate 14,500 MW of electricity by 2030 .

In 2010, it was announced that the metro rail would start in Coimbatore. Now, in the 2023-24 budget, rs 9,000 crore has been approved for a 44-km stretch in the first phase.

A sum of Rs 172 crore has been sanctioned for setting up a classical language park in the heart of Coimbatore and Rs 44 crore has been allocated in the first phase.

Coimbatore has been listed as one of the tech city initiatives of the Tamil Nadu government. Integrated projects have been announced to make Coimbatore a beautiful coimbatore city.

These projects will transform Coimbatore city into an industrial and economic powerhouse. The environment will attract more investments, create new employment opportunities and improve the overall socio-economic condition of the people living in these areas.
