District Collector distributes tricycle to a differently abled flower vendor on the spot

The differently abled woman is said to have been affected by polio from the age of 10 after which her mobility became restricted.


Coimbatore: Acting in a prompt manner, Coimbatore District Collector Kranthikumar Pati on Monday sanctioned and distributed a tricycle to a differently abled woman during the public grievance day meeting.



Jyothi, 50, a resident of Ammankulam, Puliyakulam area of Coimbatore petitioned the District collector praying for a tricycle on Public Grievances day.



The differently abled woman is said to have been affected by polio from the age of 10 after which her mobility became restricted.

Jyothi along with her brother is working as a flower vendor at Gandhipuram Bus Stand and their daily income is about. Rs.200.



The Collector, who heard her grievances, allotted a tricycle to her and also saw to it be distributed to her immediately.



In addition, the district administration has also informed her that Jyothi will be distributed with a motorised three wheeler in a couple of months.
