Coimbatore: The Rotaract club of Coimbatore Texcity conducted a "Wheel Chair Donation" drive in Sowripalayam on 26th March 2023.
The event was supported by Rotary Club of Coimbatore Texcity- Rtn. Prasanna and Rtn. Vijay. Rtr. Sanjula - President, Rtr. Chrisstephen, Rtr. Mehala and Rtr. Jaikrishna presided the donation.
The project included Rs.10,000+ for the donations and welfare activities and was intended to improve the locality and fulfill various needs of people. We donated a wheel chair to a Senior Citizen who is paralysed and has been unable to look the outside world for the past 20 years.
After getting the wheel chair, she was able to come out of her house after 20 years and this provided her with a chance to see the world again and experience the joy of being able to move around on her own. This donation not only gave her a new lease of life, but also served as an example of how providing such basic but essential facilities can make a huge difference in someone's life.
