Security has been increased multi-fold in the city in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Isha Yoga center, on February 24th.
The 112 foot Adi Yogi statue will be unveiled by the PM on the Mahasivarathiri day at Isha. Hence additional central security forces have been deployed in and around Isha. Close to 5000 police personnel have been deployed for security purposes.
A special helipad has been set near Isha for PM Modi's special helicopter landing as PM will take a special helicopter from Coimbatore International Airport to reach Isha.

Anti Naxal force and Rapid action force have been deployed in the adjoining forest areas, as a matter of precaution.
Additional Director General of Police (law and order), Tripathi today visited the event site at Isha to oversee the security arrangements. He also discussed with the officials to tighten the security and that no area should go unsupervised.
