CPML revolutionary youth federation members arrested for protesting against PM's visit to Isha.


Communist Party- Marxist-Leninist (CPML) revolutionary youth federation today hosted a protest against the visit of Prime minister Narendra Modi to Isha Yoga Centre to unveil the 112 foot tall Adiyogi statue on February 24th, 2017. The protest was hosted in front of the South Taluk Office, Coimbatore. 

Various political and unpolitical organisations have been hosting protests claiming that PM should not attend the event at Isha as several allegations against Isha especially land encroachment and demolition of forests are still pending in the Courts. Even the social media is bombarded with messages from various individuals and social organisations working towards environment condemning PM's visit to Isha. Thousands of trees demolished for building a religious structures is highly deplorable is the allegation raised by these protesters. 

The protesters from CPML also alleged that this 112 Adiyogi statue has been built illegally without seeking permissions from the concerned authority. 

The enraged protesters also claimed that most part of the Isha yoga center which is spread over an area of about 4 lakh square feet is constructed without obtaining legal permission from the concerned authorities. And, participation of Prime Minister in an event hosted by an entity will these many allegations will set a wrong precedence' they said. All the protesters courted arrest as they had no obtained permissions to host the protest.
