Udumalai Mariamman Temple scam: Clarifying the 'Mistake in Sleeping' donations controversy

There were allegations that a receipt of Rs 100 would be issued if Rs 200 was donated at the place where the udumalai mariamman temple car festival was donated. Executive Officer Srinivasan has explained that the mistake occurred as the employees worked day and night without sleep.


Tirupur: The Udumalai Mariamman temple's car festival has caused a controversy, with an official stating that the error in taking offerings occurred while he was sleeping.

Udumalai Mariamman temple car festival in Tiruppur district began on April 28 with fasting and will conclude on April 13.

In this case, a big number of individuals from the surrounding districts flock to the temple.

Meanwhile, a few days ago, there were charges of irregularities by presenting a receipt for Rs 100 if they donated Rs 200 at the location of gift.

In this regard, an explanation was requested from The Executive Officer Srinivasan, led by Udumalai Hindu Samarasu Founder President Sakthivel.



Speaking on the occasion, he stated that there was a minor mistake in tiredness because employees worked day and night.

He has now provided a revised explanation for how such errors would be avoided in the future.

Executive Officer Srinivasan's argument that the error was caused due to sleep is not acceptable. The followers have sought a thorough investigation once more.
