Coimbatore: To discuss the possibility for hosting a 45-day government exhibition, a meeting was convened in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati chaired a meeting with government officials of all departments to discuss the preparations for the 45-day government fair in Coimbatore.

Speaking at the review meeting, the District Collector said, This year's government exhibition will be held for 45 days at the Coimbatore Corporation Prison Parade Ground, which began at the end of April.
27 government departments will have stalls at this exhibition, including the departments of information and public relations, revenue, social welfare, rural development and panchayat raj, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, and forestry etc, so that the public can learn about the initiatives being carried out by those departments.
Seven non-governmental organisations will also set up exhibition halls at the event, including the Coimbatore Corporation, the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, and the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board.
He added that Minister M.P. Saminathan and Minister Senthil Balaji would award prizes to the departments' stalls with the best halls.
