For the summer season, a special hill train service between Ooty and Ketti railway station has been started. The train will leave Ooty railway station at 9.45 a.m., 11.30 a.m., and 3 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays till Ketti.
The Nilgiris: Tourists visiting Ooty, known as the Queen of the Hills, are more interested in riding the Unesco-listed traditional Nilgiri mountain railway.
As a result, the hill train operates on a daily basis between Mettupalayam, Coonoor, and Ooty. Similarly, a mountain railway runs between Ooty and Coonoor.
Thousands of tourists have begun to visit the Nilgiris district as the summer season has begun. Most of them are sad that they will not be able to ride on the regularly scheduled mountain train, despite their desire to do so.
Following this, a unique summer hill train service between Ooty and Ketti railway station has been started. The hill train departs from Ooty railway station at 9.45 a.m., 11.30 a.m., and 3 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Tourists will be brought back to Ooty from Ketti. A cost of Rs 630 per person would be levied for first-class travel and Rs 465 for second-class travel, with a special snack provided.
