The Income Tax department is conducting raids at the offices of G-Square across Tamil Nadu. Officials are conducting searches at more than 50 locations, including Coimbatore and Chennai.
Coimbatore: Since early this morning, the Income Tax department has been conducting searches at the offices of G-Square, a real estate firm in Tamil Nadu.
The searches are being conducted in Chennai, Coimbatore, and Trichy. The Income Tax Department is conducting searches at over 50 locations.
Apart from Tamil Nadu, searches are being carried out at G-Square institutes in Karnataka and Telangana as well.
The income tax raids are said to be being conducted on the basis of a complaint against G-Square that it had acquired a large amount of land at the same time and generated high returns in a short period of time.
Bjp leader Annamalai had already levied various complaints against G-Square. It should be emphasised that the Income Tax Department is performing a raid today, as the company also stated.
