The Democratic Youth Federation of India held a protest in Coimbatore against the Tamil Nadu Assembly's 12-hour work bill. The police arrested them.

Coimbatore: Throughout Tamil Nadu, numerous organisations, parties, and members of the general public have been protesting the 12-hour work day bill.

Meanwhile, a protest against the bill was conducted in front of the Coimbatore district collectorate by the Democratic Youth Federation of India, led by district secretary Arjun.

Suddenly, the protestors burnt copies of the bill and raised slogans against the Tamil Nadu government to register their protest.

They then sat in front of the district collector's office and raised slogans as the policemen there tried to prevent the burning of the copy.

Following this, police arrested around 50 protesters, including women, and placed them in a vehicle.

This led to a commotion in front of the district collector's office for some time.
