In Udumalpet block, special grant schemes are being implemented for selected villages under Kalaignar All Village Integrated Agriculture Development Scheme. Accordingly, a special camp was conducted by the Horticulture Department at Reddipalayam village.
Regional Horticulture Department Director Mohana Ramya presided over the camp. The subsidy schemes being implemented and the method of applying for the same were explained.
Furthermore, officials conducted a live field examination of the fields in order to choose beneficiaries. The camp also discussed the illnesses and pest control strategies used in the region's coconut cultivation area.
