Tirupur: The Plus Two examination was held from March 13 to April 3 in Tamil Nadu. The exam was written by 24,732 participants in Tirupur district, including 11,747 boys and 13,868 girls.
Following this, the process of correcting the answer sheets for the exam began on April 10 and continued till April 24.
Following this, the results were released at around 10 am today. In Tirupur district, a total of 24,185 candidates passed. It has secured the second position in Tamil Nadu with 97.79 per cent. At the same time, Tirupur district topped the list with 96.45 per cent in government schools.
Last year, Tirupur district secured the seventh rank in the class 12 board exams. It has created happiness among the students that they have progressed to the second position this year. The fact that Tirupur district has topped the list at the level of government schools has made educators happy.
Meanwhile, the District Chief Education Officer informed the District Collector about the results of Plus two examinations at the Tirupur district collectorate.

Speaking to reporters later, the District Chief Educational Officer said, "The District Collector of Tirupur has focused on the school education department and encouraged us by inspecting the schools and we were able to secure the first position at the state level with a pass percentage of 96.45 per cent in the government school. It has secured the second position at the district level with 97.79 per cent.
Since the DMK government took office in Tamil Nadu, it has implemented many action plans for the school education department. Government school pupils are studying enthusiastically, especially since the Nan Muthalvan scheme and have produced numerous schemes such as student manuals.
We will work in coordination with the School Education Department of Tirupur district and get the first position at the state level. It is heartening to note that 19 schools in Tirupur district, which have the highest number of students in government schools, have achieved 100 per cent pass percentage.
