Corpse of youth found near railway track in city's Madukkarai area; Police investigate

The decomposed body of a youth was found near Mohan Nagar railway track between Sundarapuram and Madukkarai in Coimbatore. The deceased has been identified as Vinith alias Asif Brittos (22), a resident of Kuniyamuthur.


Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, a decomposed body of a youth was found on the railway tracks at Mohan Nagar near Madukkarai.

Mohan Nagar railway track is located between Coimbatore Sundarapuram and Madukkarai. The locals informed the police that a decomposed body of a youth was lying near the track. The Podanur Railway Police and the district police, who reached the spot, conducted an inspection and discovered that it had been more than three days since the youth had died.

On further investigation, the deceased was identified as Vinith alias Asif Brittos (22), a native of Mayilkal in Kuniyamuthur in Coimbatore. Vinith, who had left home last Sunday was found dead this Wednesday, but the occupants of his house could not be contacted.

Police recovered Vinith's body and sent it to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for post-mortem. The Podanur police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of Vinith's death.
