Two arrested for snatching chain using a moving car from a woman in Coimbatore

The two, who were arrested in a case of trying to snatch the chain from inside a moving car, were admitted to a hospital after they broke their hands and fell while trying to escape from the police.



Coimbatore: Two persons, who were arrested for trying to snatch a chain from a woman in Coimbatore, have been admitted to a hospital after they broke their hands while trying to escape from the police.

Kausalya, a resident of Peelamedu HUDCO Colony in Coimbatore, was walking near GV Residency. The men in the car tried to snatch the chain from his neck and he was dragged onto the road.

The shocking CCTV footage of the incident had created quite a stir. Two persons, Abhishek Kumar and Sakthivel, were arrested within 24 hours of intensive investigation by the Special Cell police.

When they were caught by the police, the two tried to escape. Abhishek Kumar sustained fractures in his right arm and Sakthivel's left arm.

Both of them are currently undergoing treatment at a government hospital in Coimbatore.
