This year, 4,522 Hajis from Tamil Nadu are scheduled to go to Hajj from Tamil Nadu. Of these, 222 are on the waiting list. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has arranged for all Hajjis to get the opportunity to go for Hajj. There have been no such restrictions in the last year regarding their health while going on Hajj.
But this time there are several trials and vaccinations that need to be administered, based on which the vaccine is being administered in Coimbatore today. A vaccination drive will be held in the Nilgiris district tomorrow. The Tamil Nadu State Hajj Committee continues to do a great job of keeping, treating and sending hajis on their way.
The minister of that department, Gingee Mastan, is very enthusiastically making arrangements to send the Hajis on the way. Since then, our Chief Minister has argued that hajjis should go from Chennai till date.
We thank them on behalf of the Hajjis and on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Hajj Committee. Even today, our Chief Minister, who is embraced by all the communities, has fulfilled the various demands of the regimes. We are happy to thank you for that.
Hajj pilgrims had various difficulties in the past. The previous government did not consider this to be an event. Those who took charge did not develop the skills for it. Those who had not been ignored for four years, when they finally said that the regime was going to end in a month, they acted for their part as the chairman of this Hajj committee.
This regime is the rule of the poor, the Dravidian model of governance, embracing the people of all communities and fulfilling their demands. The Muslim community stood behind the DMK all the time and the smaller parties moved elsewhere. This is why Muslims make all the demands they ask for.
In the previous regime, there was a delay in getting subsidy for Hajj pilgrims. At present it is not so and the opportunity has been given to get the subsidy immediately. So far, the government has been providing the riyal to go there and spend. We have changed that situation and we have bought it from the central government to provide facilities for money transfer through banks. It has been implemented not only in Tamil Nadu but all over India. Thus, he said.
