Four-member gang arrested for hacking youth to death in moving bus

In a shocking incident, a youth named Kamlesh was hacked to death by a four-member gang in a moving bus near a government hospital in Coimbatore.



Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, a youth was hacked to death by a group of four persons in a moving bus in Coimbatore.

A youth was hacked to death with a sickle by a gang of four men in a moving bus in Coimbatore. One of the passengers in the bus was caught and handed over to the police.

Kamlesh (19) is the son of Kannan of Souripalayam in Coimbatore.

It is learnt that Kamlesh had attacked Santhosh with a knife during a dispute at the Mariamman temple festival in Puliyakulam a few days ago. Santhosh Kumar was injured in the incident.

Ramanathapuram police had registered a case in this regard. In this case, Santhosh planned to take revenge on Kamalesh for stabbing him with a knife.

Meanwhile, Kamlesh was travelling in an S-3 government bus going from Singanallur to Theethipalayam at around 8 pm last night.

Four persons, including Santhosh, who saw Kamlesh getting into the bus, followed the bus on two motorcycles.

As soon as the bus stopped at the Coimbatore government hospital stop, the four men, who stopped the motorcycles in front of the bus and got into the bus, allegedly hacked Kamlesh to death with a sickle.

He was hit on the head by a cut. He tried to run away. On seeing the incident, some passengers got down from the bus and screamed and ran away.

Some passengers bravely tried to catch up with the mob that hacked them with a sickle.



While three of them escaped, only One Santosh Kumar was caught by the passengers. He has been handed over to the Race Course police station.

The injured Kamlesh has been admitted to a government hospital for treatment and is undergoing treatment. The horrific incident has created a sensation in Coimbatore.
