Coimbatore: Traders who have shops in Gandhipuram jail ground staged a protest at the district collectorate and submitted a petition on the occasion of a government exhibition.
A government display has been set up on the Gandhipuram prison grounds in Coimbatore. Minister Saminathan inaugurated the exhibition on Saturday. The show will be up for 45 days.The exhibition is scheduled for 45 days. The exhibition features entertainment facilities in various government departments. Apart from this, snack shops have also been set up.
In this case, the traders of entertainment games and snack shops gathered at the Coimbatore district collectorate and lodged a complaint.
According to traders, the land that was announced to them at the government fair has not been cleaned. We trusted the authorities word and set up shops elsewhere. At present, the authorities are asking the government to remove all these shops without giving any formal letter.
Their livelihood has been affected by this move. So the authorities should clean the land already allotted to them. Otherwise, you will have to refund the amount you have paid. They also said that some of the concessions given to them last time have also been denied time.
