RPM Cleanliness Awareness Campaign at Kondayampalayam Village, Coimbatore

RPM Global Service Centre organized a cleaning awareness campaign at Kondayampalayam village, with the goal of improving waste management and segregation through educational campaigns. Over 50 employees identified 200 houses in the community to serve as an example as proof of concept for the campaign.

In accordance, RPM's Global Service Centre in Coimbatore has launched "Project Oor Kuruvi," a Community Service wing, the brainchild of Sean Pillay, Vice President, and enabled by Nithy Kalaiselvan, General Manager, and the team, with the intention of assisting and expressing gratitude to the community. Govindaraj, Village President and Block Development Officer - Panchayat Union, S. S Kulam - Muthuraju, Block Development Officer (Village Panchayat) S.S Kulam - Rama, and Deputy BDO, Zonal - Rajkumar, were pivotal in making this initiative a huge success.



RPM Global Service Centre organised a cleaning awareness campaign at the Kondayampalayam village on Sunday, May 28, 2023, with about 50 employees identifying 200 houses in the community to launch garbage management and waste segregation through education and awareness campaigns as a proof of concept.



Green, blue, and yellow dustbins representing biodegradable, recyclable, and non-recyclable garbage were distributed, and the community's littered areas were cleaned up, as well as large dustbins for truck unloading.



Their street theatre performance to illustrate and inform the general public was the highlight of this awareness campaign.



It was well received by the villagers. 



The active involvement of the volunteers made a difference in the village, and their relationship with the village will continue with more projects to strengthen as well as to build a better community.
