Annathai, a trainee woman conductor in the bus, spoke about the issue of woman bus driver Sharmila has been recently terminated from her work.
Coimbatore: Annathai, a trainee female bus conductor, addressed the matter of Sharmila, a female bus driver.
I am a training instructor. Kanimozhi MP arrived today. I informed her that I was undergoing conductor training and requested payment for the ticket. Then Sharmila said, "You don't have to give me anything, don't give me money, I'll take it, my dad will give it to you." At that moment, I thought why she should spend money on Kanimozhi, so I asked her for money for the ticket, thinking we should do our duty.
Kanimozhi laughed and said that my assistant will hand it over to me. At the moment, two people paid Rs 120 for six tickets. Then I asked Kanimozhi on the bus if the chief minister was fine, because I really like him. At that time, Kanimozhi MP said that Sharmila is proof that everyone can work for the people. Then Kanimozhi and Sharmila got down.
Following this, another driver operated the bus. Sharmila boarded the spot where the bus had landed again after reaching Somanur. Then suddenly she shouted that I am getting off the bus and I don't like to work. Immediately I apologized to Sharmila several times, asking her if it was because of me that I was getting down. Then she told me that there was no talk between you and me.
Even then, I informed her that if you get down, I'll lose my job, therefore I won't do anything beyond your sight. "Are you talking selfishly, should I not get down just because you want work?" Sharmila said. "I don't like to work, and I will go to the office and talk to him," she replied.
