Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Yadava Mahasabha has put up posters in Coimbatore demanding the immediate arrest of Dikshitars of the Chidambaram temple for allegedly beating up an elderly Yadava man who had gone to worship the deity at the Chidambaram temple and threatening to kill him.
The poster reads, "To arrest the Dikshitars who used obscene language, threatened to kill and beat up an elderly Yadava man who had come to offer prayers at the Chidambaram temple, Nataraja belongs to all castes!, don't belong only to the Dikshitars!!"
The posters have been pasted near the Coimbatore district collectorate.
Recently, a controversy erupted at the Nataraja temple in Chidambaram, with the Dikshitars putting up a sign asking the public and devotees not to climb to the top of the Kanaka Sabha and have darshan of the deity.
