Two youth lose lives after being hit by passing train while taking selfie

Vijay and Pandian who arrived at the railway track on the Anaipalayam Road in Tirupur were standing in front of the passing train and taking a selfie, when both of them accidentally stumbled and fell in front of the train. The due were reportedly thrown afar by the speed of the train, and their bodies scattered.



Tirupur: In a tragic incident, a group of youth who were taking selfies in front of a passing train in Tirupur perished after accidentally falling onto the tracks.

Pandian and Vijay, hailing from Erode district were residents of Ranganathapuram in Tirupur and had been working in a knitting company in the area for more than a year. On Sunday, Pandian and Vijay told their colleagues who were staying with them that they would go to the railway station and stand in front of a passing train and take a selfie.

The due were reportedly thrown afar by the speed of the train, and their bodies scattered.



Based on the information provided by the locals, the Railway Police reached the spot and sent the bodies of the deceased to the Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem.
