Tirupur: Work commenced at an estimated cost of Rs.12.85 crore in Palladam Pongalur Union under Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Rural Road Development Programme.



Tirupur North District Corporation Secretary South Constituency MLA K Selvaraj inaugurated the function.



He inaugurated the construction of new tar roads at 18 places under Palladam & Pongalur Panchayat Unions in Tirupur North District at an estimated cost of Rs.12.85 crore under The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Rural Road Development Programme.

Palladam West Union Secretary Su Krishnamurthy, Palladam East Union Secretary Na Somasundaram, Pongalur West Union Secretary P Ashokan, Pongalur East Union Secretary Sa Balusamy, District Deputy Secretary, Pongalur Union Perunthalaivar Su Kumar and others were present on the occasion. Chief Executive Committee Member P.K. Kanagaraj, General Council Member Thangavel, Palladam Union President T. Thenmozhi, Municipal Council President Eswaramurthy, Panchayat Presidents, Vice Presidents, Local Body Representatives and Office Bearers of The Union Corporation, Branch Corporations and the general public participated in large numbers.
