A car on the road near Eachanari in Coimbatore caught fire

The car was on its way to Coimbatore from Anaimalai near Pollachi to buy dresses, suddenly it caught fire near Eachanari. The loss of life was prevented because the driver stopped the car and everyone got out.



Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, a car that was on the road near Eachanari in Coimbatore caught fire.

Four people, including a woman from Anaimalai near Pollachi in the Coimbatore district, travelled to Coimbatore to buy clothing. When they came near to the Eachanari flyover, smoke began to emerge from the front of the car.

The driver stopped the car on the side of the road and everyone inside got down. As the front portion of the car caught fire and started burning. The persons there called the fire department .

The Kinathukadavu fire department raced to the spot and fought the fire for a long time. By then, the car had been completely destroyed in the fire. The Sundarapuram police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
