Need separate reservation for transgenders in law colleges - Prinishka, a transgender in Coimbatore, demands

Prinishka, a transgender from Theethipalayam in Coimbatore, who had applied to study in a law college, but her application was rejected and demanded that there should be separate reservation for transgenders in law college.


Coimbatore: Prinishka, a transgender from Coimbatore, has demanded separate reservation for transgenders in law colleges.

Pranishka is the daughter of Chinna Muniyandi and Saraswathi of Theethipalayam in Coimbatore. She completed her plus two from Theethipalayam Government Higher Secondary School last year.

She wants to study law. In May, she applied to the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University to study law.



But she did not receive any call. Considering that his petition had been rejected, she submitted the petition to Tamil Nadu State Human Rights Commission Chairman Bhaskaran, who came to Coimbatore.

On this, Prinishka said,



Transgenders are doing well in various fields. I had applied for admission to a law college. But I didn't receive any call. I think i have rejected my application.

Thus, I need to help myself study law. "I have submitted a memorandum to the Chairman of the State Human Rights Commission demanding that transgenders be given separate reservation in law colleges.”
